a thought most horrifying...

sometimes, things are really a helluva lot more easier said than done.

thinking back about today has made me realise just how terrifying it must have been in my friend's shoes when i told him not to worry...

can you ever imagine what it's like to wake up the next morning and have a loved one tell that he or she can't remember who you are?

or would you recommend that loved one to undergo a treatment that could cure their illness or disorder, with the knowledge that they could just come out of it not forgetting everything about you?

i'm filled with nothing but respect for my friend for daring and caring so much.

but at the same time, it just sends an icy chill running down my spine.

back to roost...

after prowling in the wilderness for about a month or so, i'm back. it's been a somewhat rough past month, but hey, c'est la vie.

the migration to elias road is under way and i'm loving how my new room's shaping up. all i need to do is get a bookshelf and unpack the whole bunch of boxes sitting by the head of my bed and it'll be perfectly habitable. not to mention getting the internet set up and all... as well as the furniture into the living room once all the other boxes have been unpacked. mom hopes to have us there before the jie's second terror arrives into the world...

church wise, it kinda seems to me that i'll be up for some interesting times ahead. easter vigil this year was another fantastic experience and i think i gave the best reading i've ever done in my short time as a lector thus far. what makes me sit up and think is that i'm taking over as the acting secretary as jerome is going out of town... which kinda intrigues and scares me at the same time. wading into church politics, not knowing if i'm afloat or sinking... interesting times ahead indeed.
