when is it we go too far?

ok... another musing session, a takeaway from discov again... does Man have the right to control the weather and do with it as we please? doesn't matter if it's for the sake of war or saving lives and property... do we have the right to tamper with the forces of mother nature? weather is a raw, primal and uncontrollable power. are we playing with fire when we try to stick our hands into it and try to string it up like a marionette for our whims and pleasures? sure... if we did control the weather, storms like katrina are a thing of the past. no more tragedy, no more sufferring... but we're still interefering with the natural cycle of things. is this right?
