surprise... another update.
yeah. i know. i've not really been writing much lately. life's just been so... idyllic... that i can't really think of incredibly interesting things to write about, hence the last two posts of being nothing but video.
it's been a good weekend. played footy (and got horribly thrashed) yesterday and bball with the guys today. i picked up a sprain on my left big toe and a nasty bunch of grazes and abrasions on my right lower leg amidst the drubbings, but at least it was a good run out and a positive spur to improve at footy. and compared to last week, this week's ball game was miles better for me compared to last week's sorry excuse of a performance. i actually enjoyed it, and scored one real peach under the basket on cutting in. that one really got my confidence buzzing. hopefully next week's game will be even better!
on a slightly bitchy note, i'd daresay one of the reasons why we got drubbed yesterday was because we had a prima donna on our team. it's alright if you're a cristiano ronaldo or a messi or a kaka who can actually win a game to have that kind of an attitude. but if you're the reason why we keep losing possession and blaming everyone but yourself, then i do believe you need a reality check and a slap in the face to wake you up. if i was an alex ferguson yesterday, i think my face might have been more purple than old purple nose himself protesting a no-penalty decision being given after john terry rugby tackling ronaldo in the box at 1-0 down. sure, you might have some skill, but if you can't do anything effective, don't blame everyone else. raise your hand and say you screwed up.
fortunately, he's not part of the usual nus css soccer gang, so thankfully, i won't be seeing him anytime soon. watching players like that is like self torture, especially when your actions bring about consequences (albeit not life and death since this is football) for others.
on another unrelated note, facebook noting seems to be the new blogging device. plus now you can tag people and make them do stuff too like those spammy emails you forward to 10 other people. could be one of the reasons why i'm not blogging as much i guess, but i'm really out of interesting stuff to write about these days too.
i finish this post with yet another video. and it's another bleach song...
enjoy!
